First Round Upsets
Users participating in contests with a First Round Upset Multiplier greater than 0 will receive a bonus for upsets that they successfully prognosticate in the first round. Depending on the settings of the Pool you are in, you will either receive bonus points for the biggest first round upset that you successfully forecast or you will receive bonus points for every first round upset that you successfully forecast. Bonus points are calculated by taking the seed number of the lowest seeded (i.e. highest in number) team that the user successfully picked to win a first round game and subtracting this numerical amount from the seed number of the team they beat, and then multiplying this result by the First Round Upset Multiplier. For instance, if the biggest upset that you successfully predict in the first round is a 12 seed beating a 5 seed, and your Pool's First Round Upset Multiplier is 1, then you would receive:
(12-5)*1 = 7 bonus points.

Second Round Upsets
Users participating in contests with a Second Round Upset Multiplier greater than 0 will receive bonus points for successfully prognosticating
second round upsets. Depending on the settings of the Pool you are in, you
will either receive bonus points for the biggest second round upset that you successfully
forecast or you will receive bonus points for every second round upset that you
successfully forecast. Second round upsets are calculated by taking the seed
number of a team that won a particular second round game and subtracting this number
from the seed number of the team that SHOULD have won that particular game had the
tournament "held to form." This number is then multiplied by the Second Round Upset
Multiplier, and the result of this calculation is the contestant's Second Round
Upset Bonus.
Example 1: Tournament has a Second Round Upset Multiplier of 2. If a team seeded 6th beats a team seeded 3rd, then users that correctly forecast this game will receive (6-3)*2 = 6 bonus points.
Example 2: Tournament has a Second Round Upset Multiplier of 2. If a team seeded 6th beats a team seeded 14th, then users that correctly forecast this game will receive (6-3)*2 = 6 bonus points. Note that even though this game is technically not an "Upset", the contestant will still receive the same bonus points in this example as they received in example 1, because had the tournament "held to form", the 3rd seeded team would have participated in (and won) this game.
Example 3: Tournament has a Second Round Upset Multiplier of 2. If a team seeded 14th beats a team seeded 6th, then users that correctly forecast this game will receive (14-3)*2 = 22 bonus points. As with example 2, the 3rd seeded team "should" have participated in (and won) this game, so contestants that correctly forecast this game will receive bonus points as if the 14th seeded team had, in fact, beaten the 3rd seeded team.

Third Round Upsets
Users participating in contests with a Third Round Upset Multiplier greater than 0 will receive bonus points for successfully prognosticating third round upsets. Depending on the settings of the Pool you are in, you will either receive bonus points for the biggest third round upset that you successfully forecast or you will receive bonus points for every third round upset that you successfully forecast.  Third round upsets are calculated by taking the seed number of a team that won a particular third round game and subtracting this number from the seed number of the team that SHOULD have won that particular game had the tournament "held to form." This number is then multiplied by the Third Round Upset Multiplier, and the result of this calculation is the contestant's Third Round Upset Bonus. In a scenario where the tournament "held to form", the only teams that would win games in the third round would be seeded 1 or 2. Therefore, anytime you successfully forecast a game where a team seeded 3rd or higher wins, you will receive a Third Round Upset Bonus.
Example: Tournament has a Third Round Upset Multiplier of 4. If a team seeded 10th beats a team seeded 3rd, then users that correctly forecast this game will receive (10-2)*4 = 32 bonus points. Had the tournament "held to form", the 2nd seeded team, not the 3rd seeded team, would have participated in (and won) this game, so the contestant gets full credit for precicting a 10 seed to win a game that should have been won by a 2 seed.

Fourth Round Upsets
Users participating in contests with a Fourth Round Upset Multiplier greater than 0 will receive bonus points for successfully prognosticating fourth round upsets. Depending on the settings of the Pool you are in, you will either receive bonus points for the biggest fourth round upset that you successfully forecast or you will receive bonus points for every fourth round upset that you successfully forecast.  Fourth round upsets are calculated by taking the seed number of a team that won a particular fourth round game and subtracting this number from the seed number of the team that SHOULD have won that particular game had the tournament "held to form." This number is then multiplied by the Fourth Round Upset Multiplier, and the result of this calculation is the contestant's Fourth Round Upset Bonus. In a scenario where the tournament "held to form", the only teams that would win games in the fourth round would be the four teams seeded #1. Therefore, anytime you successfully forecast a game where a team seeded 2nd or higher wins, you will receive a Fourth Round Upset Bonus.
Example: Tournament has a Fourth Round Upset Multiplier of 8. If a team seeded 11th beats a team seeded 4th, then users that correctly forecast this game will receive (11-1)*8 = 80 bonus points. Had the tournament "held to form", the #1 seeded team would have participated in (and won) this game, so the user gets full credit for precicting an 11 seed to win a game that should have been won by a 1 seed.
